layout - las vegas

Tuesday, January 29, 2008

Its been a few days since I've blogged... It might be because on Saturday we went to Gasprilla and when we went to upload our pictures they disappeared into cyberspace, not quite sure where they went. O'well. Then Sunday was just a typical run some errands type day, it did include going to Keel and Curly Winery in Plant City to pick up our wine club order, woo hoo!!! Then Monday I worked and finished a layout from 2005!!! I only have 1 more layout to go....

Layout - Graduation

Wednesday, January 23, 2008

Will I ever be done with the previous year and actually work on the current year? That is the question... and a resolution, LOL. This layout that I finished today is from my nephew Adam's High School Graduation in 2005!!! Its simple, I wasn't feeling the inspiration.... on to the next layout from 2005....

Homassassa Springs

Well, we ended up going camping last weekend but didn't get to spend as much time there as we wanted. By the time we got up to Homassassa on Friday night it was dark!!! Then we had to set up the tent in the dark, LOL, thank goodness everyone had lanterns and helped us.... we had chili and brats on the grill for dinner - yummy! I love campfires and I can't believe the new camera took such great pictures in the dark (I am already loving our new camera). Tracy and I slept pretty well in our "huge" tent (its a 8 person tent!) except poor Brayden cried 1/2 the night and even though they were in a popup camper (a new purchase) we still heard him (note:pack earplugs next time) but the sleeping bags were very comfy and we slept well! Saturday it was a bit overcast but the weather was comfortable... we had eggs, bacon and toast for breakfast, then had a nice leisurely walk up to the water to check out the pontoon boats (something for next time), playground so the boys could play, then back to the campsite. Next was lunch time... we headed over to a great little seafood restraunt on the water, another great leisurely walk :) after lunch it was time for the Ice Cream social at the clubhouse!!! We all got a sundae and got to choose what we wanted on it - sooooo good!!!! By the time we got back to the campsite it started getting really windy and we heard there was a tornado warning... so we turned on the weather and saw there were tons of bands of heavy rain and since we were in a tent, we decided to pack it up and head home.... boy were we tired when we got home, it just hit us.... slept for like 10 hours!!!! We can't wait to go out camping again. Next time we are looking at Ginnie Springs so Tracy can go scuba diving into the spring :) Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the weekend...

Etsy Online

Thursday, January 17, 2008

Have you ever heard of Etsy? www.etsy.com - its a great website (sorta like Ebay) where crafters post their handmade items for sale, there is no bidding, just a posted price. Everything is handmade, tons of items (paintings, jewelry, scrapbook layouts/cards... etc). I posted a few things a few weeks ago and just posted some more today. I hope to make more cards (singely or in a kit) to post for sale on there soon. Please support me if you see something you like... or let me know what you are looking for and I can create it for you (cards) - check it out, i think you'll like it xxoxoxo my account is under ScrapperAW

Key West layout

I finished another layout last night from 2005 - woo hoo!!! Not sure I am that happy with it, but its simple and I love the colors - Enjoy :)

NEW!!!

Yes, I told you Tracy and I were bad.... we bought a new camera!!!! P.s. Its our Valentines and Anniversary present to each other since they fall 2 weeks apart a Nikon D80 baby - my (our) first SLR and I think we made a good choice - we got it yesterday and I am totally in LOVE with it. I thought I was going to be overwhelmed with it at first, but it is totally user friendly for the most part... We got 2 lenses with it (18-55 and 55-200). I really wanted to be able to take amazing photos while we are in Ireland and I think we will now :) Anyone have one of these and want to show me the ropes!?!!!?!? Here is a picture of me last night using it - took us 15 minutes to figure out how to turn the flash off, LOL.

Paper Garden

Tuesday, January 15, 2008

CTMH's Spring catty was released this month (every 4 months a new catty comes out). There is usually 5 new paper packets each catty.... Here is one of them "Paper Garden". Its really pretty for the spring with bright and beautiful flowers :) I try to make a page like this for all the new paper packs, but haven't gotten them all done yet. I may try to work on that this week. This has been a pretty good productive week so far. Yesterday I finished the snow layout and tonight I finished another layout, not sure how much I like it yet though... maybe I'll post it tomorrow :) p.s. I am getting my delivery tomorrow from what I bought on Ebay... my hubby and I were bad.... xoxoxoox

Snow layout

Monday, January 14, 2008

On my yahoo group that I am on, there was a challenge posted today to make a card or layout using snow/snowflakes. Well, I don't need any "snowflake" cards so I decided to work on a layout from May when we went to Colorado and had snow on the top of Pikes Peak :) I am thankful for the challenge as I got a layout done and even went thru my 2005 stack and started another layout, hope to finish tonight or tomorrow as well :) p.s. the layout looks better in person!!! The paper used is from Carolees Creations, cricut letters with stickles, chocolate grosgrain ribbon from CTMH, circle window sticker from CTMH and cloudy blue (& pearl) Ranger paint daubers. I hope you like!

Open House Cards

Saturday, January 12, 2008

I had my CTMH Open House last night :) it was a lot of fun... Thank you everyone that came and thank you for supporting me with your orders... I was asked by a few to post the cards we did last night, here they are, they are little 3x3 cards - I am loving this size card right now! Also, I have made the layout and 4 of the 5 cards for my February 1st workshop... I will post pictures soon of that as well :) Enjoy!

herbs

Monday, January 7, 2008

It's not spring but i haven't had fresh herbs in months and i hate buying them... so, i bought dirt a few weeks ago and finally got around today putting new dirt in my 10 baby herb pots and adding seeds :) woo hoo! Maybe over the weekend I will get to planting something in my 12(?) Earthboxes that are empty as well....
***Can you guess what else I bought yesterday on EBAY? If you guess correctly you get a prize!!!!!

something new.

Sunday, January 6, 2008

I shouldn't be so excited to buy this but I am!!! This means I save $35 every month going to the gym and I don't have to worry about when I work out (I hate going when its so busy!) so... here is a picture of my new elliptical machine. Its home is in the living room, which I don't really have anywhere else to put it, but it has wheels so when I do have company over, it is super easy to move it into the bedroom or garage :) I think I will start using it tomorrow (since you shouldn't use those things when you've had a few glasses of wine ) Today was a good day, I got some samples made for my Open House (will post some later this week) put out a few Valentines decorations (i don't have many) and cooked some yummy spaghetti for dinner... 3 1/2 hours till bed... what to do next?

New Year

Saturday, January 5, 2008

Happy New Year - although it is day #5!!! Oh well for one of my resolutions of blogging everyday... LOL. Tracy and I had a nice relaxing evening of FONDUE and XBox 360 :)

Do you read Ali Edward blog? Well, every year she chooses a single word and that is her inspiration for the year... I wasn't going to do it as I couldn't think of a word I liked, but I ran across the work GROW and its growing on me, LOL. Therefore my word is to grow :) to grow as a wife, scrapbooker, photographer, etc. Last year, I did some things that I normally wouldn't have done and I grew as a person, this year I want to continue that... anyways, GROW.

Whew, all the Christmas decorations are finally put away (debating on pulling out Valentines?) therefore I have been working on new samples/workshop stuff for my CTMH Open House that is this coming Friday. I hope to see you there!!! TTFN for now :)
