I watched my nephew...

Wednesday, September 5, 2007

I've never watched anyone (childwise) overnight before and I offered to watch my 16 mo. old nephew last week. Well, my sister took me up on it (I think she was very nervous). Well, Brayden arrived on Saturday afternoon. We played, went for a walks, took naps, went swimming, ate yummy food, watched some movies... had a good time and he only cried 3 times (2 of those times was when my sister would call and check on him and I left him with my hubby, he didn't want me to leave the room) It was a good weekend. My family came over on Monday for a cookout and my sister took him home. I talked to her today and she tells me that I spoiled him... what are aunts for???? Here are a few pics from the weekend :) P.S. That is my sister letting him go thru the cat door on my back porch - next time he comes over i think he will wonder why i don't fit thru there anymore, LOL

CTMH Hostess Club!!!

Saturday, August 25, 2007

Oh la la... a preview of new CTMH paper that isn't available til September 1st! I just finished this layout and love this paper :) I am starting a Hostess Club in October and this is going to be our first layout to make. Do you know what a Hostess Club is? Let me explain... the club is limited to 6 people, you must commit for 6 months. The club/group will meet at my house (I have selected Sundays once a month, or if you get a group of 6 we can have it whenever and wherever you'd like) during our meetings we will make a 2 page layout - no charge. The commitments mentioned above are for 6 months and you would purchase $25 of CTMH products each month (prior to or at the club meetings). Each month there would be a different hostess therefore each taking turns earning the FREE Hostess merchandise (minimum of $25 FREE each month, depends on sales of club members)Make sense? Its a great opportunity to make some layouts, chat with other scrappers and get some great CTMH products!!! Space is limited, so sign up soon... email me at scrappinadriane@yahoo.com Let me know if you have questions :)

To Remember...

Saturday, August 4, 2007

Yesterday was a day to remember my grandmother, JoAnn Goetz. She was 80 and a loving woman - my favorite memory was when she would babysit me and she taught me how to play poker and we'd watch the Love Boat till we fell asleep in her bed.... Her urn was buried next to my grandfathers, Joseph O. Goetz, whom passed away 11 months ago, they are at Bay Pines National Cemetary, my grandfather was a vetern. After the ceremony we went to the Palm Pavilion on Clearwater Beach which is my grandmothers favorite restruant - the majority of us had the beer-battered shrimp, her favorite! It was a very emotional day :)

Oh so good recipe!!!

Saturday, July 28, 2007

I made this recipe this week and oh, this was so good! I found this recipe in Easy Summer Meals by Cooking Light. Enjoy!

Breaded Pork Cutlets (would taste good with chicken too, i think)
2 slices white bread (I used whole grain wheat)
3/4 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoons dried rubbed sage (I had fresh in my garden, so I used a little less)
1/2 teaspoons dried sage (I also had fresh in my garden, so I used a little less)
8 boneless pork chops (1/4 inch thick) (I just had 2 butterflied ones)
1/4 cup all purpose flour
3 large egg whites, lightly beaten
2 teaspoons canola oil (i used vegetable, but next time probably will use peanut)
Cooking spray (didn't use)
4 lemon wedges (didn't have and don't think you really need)

*place bread slices in food processor, pulse until coarse crumbs (at least one cup). Place bread crumbs in shallow dish. *combine kosher salt, pepper, sage and thyme, sprinkle over both sides of pork. Place flour in shallow dish, place egg whites in another shallow dish. Dredge pork in flour, dip in egg whites, and dredge in breadcrumbs. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add pork to pan. Cook 2 1/2 minutes until lightly browned. Lightly coat surface of chops which cooking spray, turn chops over. Cook another 2 1/2 minutes until done. serve with lemon wedges - OMG, so good!!!!

Sad day :(

Wednesday, July 18, 2007

Today is a sad day... my grandmother passed away this morning. Unfortunatly, it was expected to happen soon. This is my dads mom, my dad also lost his father 11 months ago - its been a tough year. Please send prayers and thoughts to my family. Thank you, God Bless.

How pure are you?!?!??

Wednesday, June 20, 2007

You Are 68% Pure

You're pretty pure, and you have no plans on changing that.

You do have a devilish side though... and it will probably get the better of you.
